"It still looks like the Taco Bell that once called this place home, but the big, smoking grills in the parking lot and the outside bathrooms are your first clues that it's not. Most everything, including the BBQ Sauces, is homemade at this locally-owned and -operated restaurant, dubbed "The Smokehouse of the South." The menu includes ribs, chicken, pulled pork, beef brisket and deep-fried catfish. The coleslaw is superb, the steak fries are huge, and the macaroni and cheese, collard greens and corn bread are to die for! Ribs are high on the list of recommendations, but you'll definitely need the moist towelettes and half that roll of paper towels sitting on each table to get through them."
